Roger Thurbide, President of RMT Mortgage Group, is a highly respected and

Shawn started his banking and finance career after Graduating from Cape Breton University in 1998. He spent several years in the consumer finance industry gaining experience in the mortgage business and quickly moved on to BMO as financial service manager. New opportunities presented to him in Management with Sydney Credit Union allowed him to further his experience in commercial banking and management with that employer. After spending over 10 years in the banking industry Shawn has established a solid reputation in providing financial services with the highest integrity.
His success with past employers has given him the experience, confidence and creditability to pursue his own business in the mortgage banking industry under RMT Mortgage Group. His new office opened March 31, 2007 where he now offers his clients, through a partnership of 32 lenders of Canada’s most reputable banks and mortgage companies the most competitive products and services to meet their housing needs.
Shawn’s community involvement is important to him and he shows his support by volunteering for groups such as CBU alumni, Habitat for Humanity & Sydney Rotary Club where he sits as Vice President of the club. Shawn resides in Coxheath with his wife Noella & daughters Leah and Rachel.

Ryan Joe is a graduate of Cape Breton University and holds a bachelors degree in business. After graduating he started his career with Enterprise Holdings in the rental car division. After gaining experience and valuable training he was quickly promoted to the management program. He has always had a strong desire to do well and to establish his own business. This has led him to his current position as a mortgage originator with RMT Mortgage Group at its Sydney location.
His passion for customer service and eagerness to excel in this position will provide the general public with solutions to meet their mortgage and banking needs. Along with his strong work ethic Ryan Joe believes in giving back to his community by volunteering his time with programs such as Glace Bay Minor Hockey Association & Operations Red Nose each Christmas season. Ryan currently resides in Glace Bay.
